Right they said that early it looks like a
girl but no 100% but now they say it is
100% a girl. Your right and when they
told me that early I didnt really bank on
it I said I will wait till I know for sure
and that is when I am 8month and you would
know but I found out early anyways. Its a
girl.

First off if u'd have paid attention to
what u yourself wrote before u'd notice
that u said 12-13 weeks not 11-12. But
hey whos counting.
Sweetie, ur doc is a quack then, and you
saw the cord, genitals develop at 12-13
weeks. So, you can't see it. Doctors
can only give you about 80% at 16 weeks.
Most doctors wont even give a guess at 12
weeks.[/quote]
thanx for the warning, wasn't going to buy
loads of boy stuff now anyway as i've
plenty of time to get that later on.
And I repeat that I do believe my doctor,
and I also believe my eyes, my hubbys,
mother and sister in law who were with me
during the scan.
'no medical knowledge, is that why im
going to med term in about 3 hours?'
mmm pay attention again please, I said I
believe u had no expert medical knowledge,
it is very different from saying 'you do
not have any expert medical knowledge'.
I also said that maybe most doctors are
not available to see the sex of the baby
so early because they may not be
practically good enough (skill wise), as I
clearly said that the doc managed to move
my baby around, first we saw the
traditional profile view of the baby, then
with some short quite hard kindof
squashing taps, managed to move the baby
into position (which is not hard as its in
a ball of water and just floats around
very easily), and we saw the baby from
various angles, including a view as if we
are looking down on the baby, so we could
see all four limbs etc, and a view from
his feet upwards (dunno if u can imagine
that how i've described it, its a bit
difficult explaining exactly how we saw
the baby in these positions).
As for dr spock etc, I don't always
believe what others say or what I read,
expecially on here (btw what is med
term?.. Medical school?? I don't know).
I believe my eyes!
Anyway there must be a big difference
between the doctors over there and here,
as i'm no way near the only person at
least in this area that has been told so
early what they are having (as my hubby
said to me the day before my scan that a
friend of his said that maybe we'd get to
know the sex of the baby, as his doc told
him and his wife at 12 weeks they would
have a boy and indeed he was a boy).
Anyway i've got a feeling that whatever I
say, u (seksihilly) won't believe me
anyway, u keep believing what your docs
and textbooks tell u, and i'll keep
believing my eyes, and the real
experiences of others!

yes, these drs today think it is all the
test book stuff--not pointing finger at
seksihilly--but they forget the first fact
in science that "there are no set facts in
science" and they forget the human factor.
We know our body and they should pay
much closer attention to that, instead
they say "what you want to be a dr" no I
just want you to listen to me, and believe
I might know a little more about my body
than you do--dr or not. That is just
respect---
like my pregnancy for instance--they did
one test I dint pass then nothing just
sent me home with all the symptoms and no
reason for them at all. Dint even
listen to my stomach--they could have
listened to my bowel sounds even and there
is a way to tell if I am indeed
pregnant--just from that. Let alone
I am now 10.5 weeks and they can hear the
heartbeat by now, since no uterus is in
the way. I have felt his heart beat
with my hand. And even though my u/s
did show the ovary had released the ovum,
and has not closed up--as in end of cycle.
Since my cycle is not finished for
at least 6 1/2 months. And I have
great blood flow to that ovary--and quite
a bit to the right also

Well exactly,
i've never heard about a woman carrying
her baby in her abdomen before, but that
doesn't mean I don't believe u, I have no
reason to say your lying or that it is
impossible to carry a baby outside the
uterus, because I am no expert, what do I
know bout if it is possible or not etc.
About my situation, my logic tells me that
if the external genitals are clearly
formed, then wheres the proof that says it
is impossible to see them, if u can see
the nose, fingers, toes etc, what makes it
impossible to see a likkle winky :d
hehe.
Doctors work in different ways, and with
different ways of using their expert
knowledge, am sure fatfamily has had
doctors tell her that its useless trying
to carry on her pregnancy and others that
tell her that with her help they can only
try and do their best to see if they can
help the baby to arrive to full term or
near enough!.
Anyway good luck to fatfamily!!

My link can be seen if you turn the "j" at
the very end in jpeg to a lower case j...
For some reason this site really messes
up links!
As for finding out the sex, a friend of
mine found out at 14 weeks, when she went
in because of slight bleeding. The
penis was very clearly formed. Her
doctor said that the reason why most
people can't tell the sex that early is
because the baby isn't in the position to
see the sex. Also, she had a more
detailed sonogram, since she was bleeding
and they were checking to see if something
was wrong.
My other half let me know about a week ago
that he doesn't want to know the sex (i
thought we had agreed that we wanted to
lol, but it turns out, he just didn't want
to disappoint me). My mom doesn't want
to know either! They said I could find
out... But just not to tell them. How
the hell am I going to do that?!?! We
are still going to discuss it, because I
do want ultrasound pics during the
pregnancy, and I don't want to pass them
up because I *might* see something.

Hehe poor pocket!!
How on earth are you going to keep the sex
of your baby a secret??, u won't be able
buy anything in pink or blue incase they
see!.
If u decide not to find out, I don't think
that that the fotos will show anything, I
think anyway, all the fotos i've seen have
been of the babys profile not in a
position where u'd see anything, so I
shouldn't worry. Plus if the doc knows u
don't want to know, he/she will
deliberatly take fotos of the babie in a
hidden position anyway.
Your friends doc is right, and I think as
the baby gets bigger its harder to move it
around to a good position for seeing the
sex, which is maybe why my doc managed to
see he was a he.
Anyway hope u manage to convince your
other half to find out the sex :d

had my first sonogram today!
It is confirmed, I am 9 weeks, 5 days
today!
you can see its head on the left, and a
little hand on the bottom, its little
stubby feet on the right, so cute!
Nothing can compare to hearing your baby's
heartbeat for the first time, nothing!
It was also moving and wiggling so much...
I can't believe how active it is! It
just amazes me!
Due date is april 6th
:d
we still cant see your pics please help
us we wanna see baby too. Have changed
the j to j and still nothing works.
You like to see my baby belly remember im
only 10.5 weeks preg in my abdomen.
that is the correct link, but on top of
changing the "j" in "jpeg" to a lowercase
"j", you have to change the beginning "b"
in baby and the beginning "s" in sonogram
to capitals.
Wow, alot to do to just see a pic of a
little blob of baby! Hehe
