You have to wait at least 4 to 7 days after your first missed period. After conception it takes 3 weeks for the sperm to make its way into the egg and the egg to enter where its going, so a test will not be accurate untill at least 4 to 7 days after your missed period.

Some early pregnancy tests can be taken as soon as the second day missed period. Look around and read up on them.
