Hmm.....Well how was the gulf??

It was hot, cheap and rather unpleasant, every move seemed hindered because of the heat and the fact that I had over 50 lbs of gear didn't help. I was on duty with elements of the usmc, army corps of engineers and with a few navy men. Everyone (the locals) hated us. Oh and, the carrier I was on (the uss essex), nothing happend at all, it was really boring. I thought we might see some action, but it looks like there's nothing dangerous about the gulf of oman.

Most boring 2 months ever.
