Disorder? Nerves?

Hi all, please help advise! Yesterday my 13 y/o daughter came to me complaining that she cannot stand touching 'tea-spoons', she is quite happy to touch and handle knives, forks and dessert spoons but not the small tea-spoons. After a long conversation with her she also mentioned that she has a strong dislike for the following which she says bother her and make her cringe with shivers up her spine. :-
1/ touching the small tea spoons, wet or dry.

2/ drying her hands on bathroom towels.

3/ touching our younger 5 y/o daughters spoon which has a plastic handle.

4/ touching her hands when her skin is wrinkley after prolonged baths etc.

5/ touching and washing her hair when her hands are wrinkley.

6/ the sound the hover makes. (which is how all this came about)

i had the side of the computer off and was hoovering out the dust from inside, I noticed our 13y/o get up and leave the room when I switched the hover on. Hours later I was shaving in the bathroom when our daughter came in and said, "daddy something is wrong, when you switched the hover on the noise really bothered me." and then she began to describe the other things that have really started to bother her. She says this has been happening for about a year. She knows it does not make any sense but cant understand why its happening. The 'cringe' feeling she gets is similar to a person with long fingernails dragging them down a blackboard, the noise made by the nails makes most people cringe. I personally feel the same way about the sound of snow crunching under foot, and cotton wool being crunched up in the hand. Our 13y/o girl is otherwise a bright and happy girl with no health problems. We moved house about a year ago after eight years in the same location, I wonder did this contribute to this strange symptoms? If any one out there has any ideas about what this could be, I would be grateful for any replies. Many thanks. A worried dad.

When I was about your daughters age and my mom dried my hair, I used to get so stressed that I cried. The noise and feeling of the hair dryer was really irritating, I tried to refuse the hair dryer but my mom didnt let me. Same thing goes to the shaver, my dads shaver is really annoying, I have to close the door in my room. Also, styrofoam bothered me when I was young, very irritating and made an annoying sound. My best guess would be that when your that young your senses are still growing or you're just more sensitive than others. Right now im 19 yrs old and I can use the hair dryer, shaver and I can touch styrofoam with no problems.
