Hi,
i need some advice. My friend had a one
night stand with a married man. I later
found out that I know the guy's wife. My
friend says she's pregnant. They slept
together on a sunday and she said she was
supposed to have her period that week.
The next sunday she sent him an email
saying she was pregnant. I get the
feeling she's lying to everyone to keep
this guy with her.
She seems to have a doctors appointment
every week. They slept together on august
7th and she says she's going for an
ultrasound on tuesday to make sure the
baby is ok. I've never been pregnant so I
don't know if this is normal.
Can you even see anything on an ultrasound
that early? I keep thinking she's lying,
but I don't like accusing people of
anything unless I have some sort of proof.
The man's wife is really nice and sweet
and I hate to see her hurting through all
this. Yes, she knows.
Can anyone help me figure this out?

I don't think she could actually know that
she was preg that soon. It takes a couple
of weeks at least for the hcg level to get
high enough. Also, a normal ob will not
even see a patient until they are at 7 to
8 weeks along because you can't see the
baby in an ultrasound well earlier than
that...Definately not at 1 or two weeks
which is what I gather from your email she
is saying she is. So, I would certainly
say she is lying.

I have been pregnant 10 times and with 4
of them I knew the next morning! Even
though the egg had not implanted yet-- it
is possible-- not that she might not be
messing with him--which is totally
possible too.
