Help!!!!!!!! Anyones Imput Would Be Appreciated. Thanks! Posted: 09-09-05 19:21pm
I was on depo for 2 shots. It was
suppose to be out of my system in november
(04) . For a while I was fine, but
then at the beginning of the summer I
started to get my period for 15-20 days at
a time. Maybe a couple of days off,
then i'd start again. I went to the
doctor and she didnt seem concerned
because she said my cycle was normal
(28days about) and if I wanted to fix it
to go on birth control (which I really
really do not want to start)
both sides of my husband and is family are
very fertile. All the women in my
family do not take more then 2 months of
trying to get pregnant. My husbands
family all have really high sperm count.
(his brothers has gotten two girls
pregnant both on birth control)
i also have been diganosted with a hypo
active thyroid, which ive been on
medication on since december (04)
do you all think that I am unable to get
pregnant? My husband and I have a very
healthy sex life, and we are both young.
Has anyone been through the same thing??
Any imput would be really appreciated
thanks in advanced!

It sounds to me that you should listen to
your doctor and get on birth control just
to get yourself regular and then try
again. My friend had to do that also.Good
luck to you.

It may take awhile to get pregnant after
being on the shot. I know someone who has
been trying for 2 years & finally just
got pregnant. She & her husband have
2 other children, so they know that they
can have kids together. If your patience
gets to you then ask your Dr.

It took me a while (almost 4 yrs) to get
pregnant after being on the shot too.
And I had been pregnant twice while
younger (misacarried both times) maybe
going oon the pill for a few months to
regulate evrythign would help.

Birth Control Posted: 11-21-05 19:00pm
If you would rather not go on birth
control, then don't. Give your body a
chance to recover from the depo shots. It
takes some people longer than others. I
stopped having my period (probably due to
a certain medication) and it took a very
long time for my body to regulate itself
again. I actually took my Dr.'s advice
and went on birth control, and it didn't
work. Try to relax! Worrying makes
everything so much worse. Stop trying,
and you will probably get pregnant.
(isn't that the way it usually happens?)
