When I named my second child I liked the
name beth my mum didn't like it and gave
me lots of alternative names that she
liked. In the end she said if you want to
call her beth atleast call her
bethan/bethany/bethanie
i called her bethany. I've never called
her bethany myself,she's always just beth
to me. My mum calls her bethany though.
Do you think it's wrong to give my
daughter a longer name if I am only going
to shorten it.
If I was to turn back time I would of told
my mum where to go and that it's my choice
but I was only young so I did as my mum
asked
has anyone else given there child a longer
name but you just call it by a shortened
form?
