New Father to Be (girl Friend 3 Months Pregnant)

Well, as stated above my girl is 3 months
pregnant, she is 17 and I am 18. I have
tried to put togather a little budget and
I have factored in the following things.
Clothes- $30-$40 (monthly)
food/ formula $10-$20 (every other week)
dipers $10-20 (monthly)
bottles $5-$12
day care- $400-$500 (monthly) this my not
be a factor is I work nite shifts.
With the job I will have I will have
health insurance so if the baby ever got
sick she would be covered under my
insurance. Do you all think I left
anything out? The job I will have I will
be making anywhere from 1800-2700 monthly.
Do you all think this will cover
everything, and is my budget even
realistic? Well enough for the financial
stuff, my girl friend's parents know about
the baby and all, but my family dosen't
know yet. And I don't know how to tell
them. Any one have any advice on how to
tell them? Thanks for any info given.

What ever you do do not leave her and the
baby alone it is extremly hard going
through that and im still havin troubles
dealin with it I understand your issue
because I am 17 years old and 4 months
pregnant however the dad is in jail for a
while and he denied the baby he is also 18
so I am all by myself all you have to do
is save up and you will be fine friends
and family hopefully will get you some
things at the baby shower and tell her to
breast feed it helps loose baby weight and
its a lot cheaper tell her to start savin
up too you guys will be fine!!!

Theres so much more you're going to need
for the baby other than just those 5
things you have listed.
Crib:
matress:
bedding set:
changing table/dresser:
changing pad and cover:
pack & play:
car seat/stroller combo:
highchair:
sling carrier:
swing
gate:
monitors:
nursery/bath care set:
misc baby proofing
baby wipes:
diapers:
powder
diaper rash cream:
lotion:
teething meds:
diaper bag:
infant tub
bottle starter kit:
breast pump:
formula:
bibs:
bowls/spoons:
jarred food:
onsies:
shirts/pants:
shoes:
socks:
hats:
jackets
theres so much more but you get an idea.
Some of those things are optional of
course but still. And just so you know
diapers are going to cost you way most
than $10-20 a month. Babies go through a
lot of diapers and they're expensive.
Same with formula. If your gf can she
should try and breastfeed it's better for
the baby and way cheaper. Good luck.

Well as far as the sleeping goes, I wanted
the baby to sleep with me during the
night. I know if I get a crib she would
hardly ever use it, during the night i'd
feel more comfortable if she slept with me
anyway. Although I do want to invest in a
play pen. As far as clothing goes I
wanted to get a bunch of body suits since
most of those come in packs. How many
hats would I need? And I didn't want to
get her any shoes until she started
walking. And I do need to get a stroller
and car seat.

It's just my opinion but sleeping with a
baby is kind of dangerous. Theres always
the chance that you could roll over on top
of it or it could some how sufficate.
Plus once the baby gets older it won't
want to sleep by itself at all because it
will be so used to sleeping with you. You
could have a problem once it becomes a
toddler and older.

I just got finished watching a show where
the daddy killed the baby in his sleep on
accident because he smothered her.
I hate cribs, but after watching that
there's no way in hell i'll put that risk.

now, I could never do this, but thats
because I roll around like crazy, I once
rolled right over my partner. But for
some people its a safe choice.

I don't want to buy a crib because she
would hardly use it. Would her sleeping
in the play pen be safe?

How do u know she would hardly ever use
it? Would u rather sleep on a crib
matress or a hard bumpy play pen? Diapers
is like twenty bucks a week! Not month,
and at first, its more than that b/c they
pee more! And formula ten to twenty
dollars a week? Is she going to just eat
once or twice a week? Formula is around
200 a month! So try again! You really
cant budget these things, cuz alot
happens, what if shes sick? Baby medicine
is through the f*#king roof! Insurance?
It cost about 10 thousand bucks for me to
have my daughter!*insurance paid, but do u
have insurance?** if not be ready to go
bankrupt!

hard and crappy to sleep on.
