Skin Irritation At the Tip of Penis
Posted: 09-11-05 21:41pm

I was hoping that someone would have any advice on this problem that I have.

About 3 months ago I had unprotected oral sex. The day after, I noticed a slight burning feeling and some discomfort at the tip of the penis. Since then, these symptoms have remained. The the symptoms are very slight, but I notice that something is different. There is also a very slight red rash at the tip, which seems to look worse after getting out of the shower. I went to 3 different doctors, who did std tests and everything checked out fine. I know that there is something wrong; it is just that it is not being detected from these std tests. Does anyone know of any skin rashes that can be transferred from oral sex?

I would appreciate any info that anyone might have on this issue.

Thanks!

Yeast or bacterial infection, maybe a soap, or even your underwear you are using could be irritating the area.

Thanks for the reply. I don't think it has anything to do with the soak that I use, but I will look into that.

How would one cure a yeast/bacterial infection? I forgot to mention that my doctor prescribed me a medication for basic std's that I took for a week. I forgot the actual name. Think it was levaquin. It didn't help at all.

For a yeast infection, they would give you a antifungal drug like lamisil (sp?) and for the bacterial infection or a std caused by a bacteria some type of antibiotic. It could also be a uti but there usually caused by bacteria so the antibiotic would clear it up. But some things down there dosnt matter what sex you are and the drug; they can be a health forum to get rid of!

Did you take your drug all the way through? If you didn't even though it may have seemed better some of the little bugs still survived. Most bacteria multiply every 15 min so emagine you killed off most of the bacteria you still have like100 that survived in just a matter of hours they can build up again causing the infection to just keep coming back!! And the more times you keep taking it and don't finish it, your just giving the bacteria a chance to become resistant to it!

I am not a medical personnel, but I read this on the net:

you can soak your penis in hydrogen peroxide solution (3%). You can do this daily for 5 - 10 minutes until your symptoms clear up. Then you should do it at least once a month to keep bacteria from accumulating. You can soak by sticking your penis in a glass of the solution. If the full strength is too much for you dilute it with water. If this doesn't appeal to you at all you can apply hydrogen peroxide a few times a day with sterile cotton balls.

Here is the link that talks about how hydrogen peroxide has shown to kill many forms of sexually transmitted bacteria. You will see it is mainly about a vaginal wash for women, but the same principal applies to men:

Common irritation; I used to use mycelex 3; but off market now

i'd put in tip and immediate slight burning gone-a vaginal cream.

Now I can use neosporin pain relief cream-just something to kill
inflamation till it calms down
