First of all you need to determine when you usually ovulate. There are tests out there now that can tell when exactly you are. Two other methods are to monitor your temperature and your vaginal fluids. On average a woman ovulates the 14th day after the first day of her last period. For example the first day of my last period (the day I started my last period) was july 12th. Therefore I should have started ovulating and was most fertile around july 26th.

Secondly, after you find out when you usually ovulate, then have sex daily, or a couple times a day if possible, starting 3 - 5 days before ovulation is to occur. Sperm on average live up to three days within our bodies, sometimes as long as 5 days. By having sex soon before ovulation even occurs you are giving the sperm a head start to the fallopian tubes. So basically the sperm will already be there in place waiting for that egg to be released. Have sex everyday starting 3 - 5 days before ovulation and continue until about 3 - 5 days after ovulation. Exposing the released mature egg to sperm everyday during this tme frame will only increase the chances of it becoming fertilized.

Third, after having sex make sure you do what is needed to keep the sperm inside you. Lay still afterwards on your side or back. It is suggested that you prop your rear up on a pillow to elevate it for this purpose to help keep the fluids from leaking out.

I am not sure how fertile my fiance' is, but I know the women in my family, myself included, are as fertile as the nile valley! We deided to have children. Previously I had been on the pill for 11 years. I went off the pill for a year with my ex husband but never got pregnant. With the split-up and his filing for divorce in february I went back on the pill in march. With my new fiance we agreed to quit the pill july 12th.

My most fertile day was july 26th. We started having sex daily july 20th or 21st. Instead of going to clean up afterwards like I normally do he laid with himself still inside me for as long as we could stand it, and then I continued laying on the bed for about a half hour, or so. This helped to give the sperm time to swim upstream...Lol. We did this everyday until july 30th I think. We are now expecting around april 23rd.

Hope this helps, and good luck!
