I've heard that as well. Try ice and heat to make it feel a little bit more bearable. Good luck with your pregnancy.

Carpal tunnel syndrone. I have it really bad and the symptoms have gotten really much better since I am diagnosed disabled and dont work anymore. As soon as I got pregnant this time the symptoms came right back--but this time from the pregnancy. My girl friend got it bad just from bein pregnant. Splints--you can buy at drug store. Wear them snug--not too tight at night and it will help most of the pain. If still bad pack in ice till you cant stand the cold no more. Try not to do things that are repetative, or anything that uses the strength of your hands. When it hurts---stop

I wore braces for the longest time and finaly gave in last october and had the surgery done.... I have had no problems at all.... Yay!

The only way I would suggest anyone to go thru the surgery is if the muscles are starting to atrophy... (like mine did)

fortunatly if you develop it during pregnancy, like food cravings it goes away after the birth
