What could be the cause(s) of very dark underarms? This occurred very suddenly. I am in my early 30's, have 3 children the youngest of which is almost 5 years old. I have a "hot nodule" on my thyroid, but am not currently taking any medication for this or any other condition. Also, how do I get the discoloration to go away?

Dark spots on the skin can occour if you've gained weight, the usually occour around your creaseslike where your thigh meets the pelvis and all of the areas like that. As for any medical conditions I don't know any, sorry.
