Birth Control (info On the Ring) Raynauds And Birth Control Posted: 09-14-05 13:15pm
Okay so this my first one, hoping someone
has some answers for me.
I have raynauds and have had it for 10
years. However, because of raynauds I
can not be on the pill. But my boyfriend
and I feel that we need to be safer. The
only birth control I have ever used was
condoms (not be graphic but condoms plus
pulling out). So this is the first time
I will be on anything.
I have researched the ring and seem to
think it would be the most efective
however they say its like the pill but
with a smaller dosage of hormones being
released in your body.
So my question, anyone wih raynauds, do
you know if I can use the ring?
Also just some questions about the
ring...
Cost?
Weight gain?
And any other useful info??
Thanks please help!

I've been on the ring for a few months,
however, my insurance does not pay any
part of it. Although, it is not too
expensive about $36 a month. I really
enjoy being on the ring. I can not feel
it, and my husband says that he cannot
either. I don't know about any
interactions with your disease, I would go
onto their web site nurvring.Com, or
simply ask your obgyn. Good luck!

Being the hormones are being dispersed
into your body somewhat like the patch by
wearing it, and you have a circulatory
disorder I would not hink it would be a
good idea. But if your physician oks it
and maybe prescribes you something to
prevent any stroke or complications to
take along with it, and you are supervised
well, maybe it would be ok
