I am 2 days overdue, at my last ultrasound
10 days a go the baby weighed almost 9
lbs. I want to deliver naturally, do you
have any advice on how to go in to labor?

I went 3 days over with my daugher and
finally had her by emergency cesarean. I
had tried everything to make myself go
into labor but never did. I finally gave
up trying and realized she wasn't coming
until she was ready! It turns out that it
was for the best though, my daugher's cord
was wrapped around her neck twice and the
doctor said she probably would not have
made it had I gone into labor.

Have you thought about being induced? A
friend of mine was very persistent about
everything about her birth being natural.
She went two or three days over; had a
thirty hour labor and ended up getting a
c-section. Her baby was 9 1/2 lbs. I
would honestly consider induction.

I have heard that curry can put you in
labor also rest and you could try drinking
castor oil, going for a ride in a car down
a really bumby road or getting some
exercise and having sex. So what I
suggest is drink some castor oil, have
curry for dinner then go for a bumpy ride
in the car then do the wild thing (which
is also exercise) and then have a relaxing
bath then a peaceful sleep. I hope that this
has helped. Good luck.
