My husband is mexican and i'm white. I wanted to know if when me and my husband have kids will they be more likely to have health problems like low birth weight, asthma, or anything like that when they're born? I guess what i'm asking is : is there a greater chance for my future babies to have health problems?

What do you mean by you dont know what they call people like you? You are a person like everyone else. I bet you're a beautiful woman. You should proud of who you are. I cant wait to see what my future babies will look like. I'm not pg but I hope to be. My husband just left to go back to iraq and i'm not pg so I guess we'll have to wait til he comes home. Thank you for answering me. I hope you enjoy your baby. Good luck!

Umm it has nothing to do with race (except black ppl and I think its tay sachs disease) it has to do with genetics mainly, not your race.
Why would you even think that?

I was just curious. Thank you for answering my question. I don't even think I can have kids. When I was little I had problems with bleeding when I was way too young to be bleeding. I was still in diapers. The Dr. Said that there was a very good chance that I couldn't get pg at all. I really want a baby. On the other hand, my husband is a tanker and in the tank he drives there is a lot of radiation and chemicals and stuff, so that could be part of the problem. I don't know. I have a dr's appt. Next month to check and see if everything's ok with me. Thank you guys very much.

Problems?
I don't think you're at any special risk of having a baby with health problems, unless there are problems in the family.

As for the bleeding thing when you were younger- it's not unusual for baby girls to have a weird kind of period when they are newborns, it's caused by hormones the mother produces during birth.- how old were you when that happened? If it was right after you were born, it could have been that- I think it can even happen later on, if you are still being breastfed, and your mother produced seem extra hormones for whatever reason.

I wouldn't give it a second thought if I were you, not untill you've been having unprotected sex for a good few months without success- where I live, they won't ususally investigate infertillity until a couple have been trying for 2 years.

Good luck, but most of all, enjoy trying !!!!!

Hi! He's been over there since feb. 2005. This is his 2nd deployment. He was only home for 9 months before he had to leave the 2nd time. My husband and my brother should both be home in feb. If not sooner. Thank you!

Hi there! My son just came back from iraq, it was his second time over there and he did a little over a year each time! Just be positive and keep telling yourself that they will come back, write to him everyday about positive things that are happening here because there is too much negative stuff over there as it is I pray for them every night, send him stuff like gatorade and munchie stuff like cookies and things like that!
Cassiesaucedo, I am sending you some baby dust your way in hopes that you can get pregnant. Acouple of dr's told me a lomg time ago that I could not get pregnant and I ended up having 2 wonderful children that are now grown.
