Last Period Was 6 Weeks Ago, Not Pregnant? Posted: 09-18-05 09:37am
I'm 25 and 7 months ago I stopped taking
the pill, as me and my husband want a
baby, however since I stopped taking the
pill my periods have been late, the
lastest being 5 days, but now its been 6
weeks exactly that I had my last period.
I took a hpt about a week ago and it was
negative, I have no symptoms of pregnancy
i.E sickness etc, I feel quite normal.
Ive started having sharp pains in my lower
right hand side of my abdoman which
started today. I dont know what to do I
may give it another week and if I haven't
had a period I will see my gp, but could I
be pregnant????? Help please. Anyone
else had a similar situation?

My daughter had to wait until 3 weeks past
missed period to get a pos preg test.
And some women dont get early preg
symptoms, some women dont get hardly any
symptoms at all. Some women dont know
until extremely preg, cuz no symptoms.
If it has been 6 weeks since then you
would be 3 weeks past by next week!!! So
try again in a week or little after. Or
go get a blood test from doc, it will show
already!

The first time I was pregnant, I took two
pregnancy test and they both had the faint
line, and I kept trying to convince myself
that it was a negative.I wasn't ready to
be a mom but I dealt with the hand that
was given to me.I got pregnant again after
my senior year when I was 19 and I took
the first response test that was easy to
read, a simple pregnant or not pregnant.I
took 3 and they all said not pregnant but
my period was late so I just brushed it
off until I missed my second period. I
then went to the doctor and had blood test
done and sure enough I was pregnant. You
should give it another week before you try
again and still if you haven't recieved
your period and getting a neg. Answer
then I would go see the doctor.
