My wife was diagnosed as suffering
hyperthyroidism caused by graves 2 months
ago.We have just moved to a new house
picked by my wife.After only a week she
said our marriage was not working and
wants a devorce.She moved to a small
terraced house within the next 7 days.We
had not had a row and there is no one else
involved as we just do not go out
seperate. What I cant understand is why
she is doing everything out of
character.She love our kids and normally
had a lot of time for them and her dog but
since being diagnosed of hyperthyroidism
she now has no time for them or her dog
.She has gone like a hermit and is happy
to stay in here house 24/7.She also blames
me for all that went wrong in our
lives.
Can somebody explain why my wife have
changed so much since the diagnoses and
will she change back before the devoce
actually goes through.

My doctor told me that depression can be a
result of thyroidism (but mine is hypo).
She should probably see a therapist or
psychiatrist if she's acting strange all
of a sudden. The part I can't help you
with is how you'll get her there. I have
no clue. But the sooner the better,
because this sounds to be escalating.
