Small Red Spots On Torso And Arms
Posted: 09-18-05 22:26pm

I was in the shower earlier and I noticed my chest and stomach was covered in small red spots but I quickly forgot about it. Later I was watching tv in a t-shirt and I noticed my arms were covered in small red spots as well. I took my t-shirt off and found most of my torso was covered in small red spots. I think they might have been there yesterday as well but they’ve definitely only appeared recently.

I haven’t changed washing powder, shower gel or anything and i’ve never had any problems with allergies.

I tried to take a picture of my arms but the camera is fairly dreadful and I couldn’t get a decent shot where they were particularly visible.

Here’s one of each arm to give you an idea. After clicking on the link change the capital "j" in "jpg" to lowr case to get the pricture to load. For some reason this form keeps chaning it to a captial:

right arm
left arm

it doesn’t look like much and i’d probably just ignore it but I haven’t been feeling too great lately (mild pains in the chest and shoulders) so I thought I best ask if I should be concerned in case they’re related. So should I be worried about this or if I should just ignore it and see if it clears up?

Thanks for the advice

(grrrr, what's the problem with letter cases here? It's changing lowercase letters into uppercase and uppercase letters into lowercase) :?:

I can' t see your pictures but what you are describing sounds exactly like what I have going one except that they are also all down my back...I have no idea what it is but I am going to see the doctor tomorrow....I will let you know what I find out.

Thanks for the reply. I'd be interested to know what the doctor says.

It's actually spread to all over my body now including my legs. I'm going to give it another week and if it hasn't clearly up i'll have to go and see the doctor myself.

I work from home so it's very rare that I go out, so the only way I can think that i've caught it is an insect bite I got just before it appeared.

Well the doctor told me mine was a viral infection which is spread from person to person.....It has been going around where I live and I work in the pharmacy so go figure hehe...It started with what I thought was a sinus infection or something..I had real bad head congestion, runny nose, sinus drainage etc. It took about three days or so for that to go away then I noticed the little red bumps appearing which continued to spread..Apparently the whole ordeal was a viral infection and it ends with this rash I have. There wasn't anything they could give me for it except some steroids to help it clear up faster ( I passed on that). She said to just take benadryl for the itching and it would go away on its own. Oh well...
