Q: Fr Tests???

As I have read alot of comments on here about how unreliable test are! And the main one that keeps on popping up time after time is:

first response!!!!!!!

What is it with these test. Why are they giving false positives. The website peeonastick has dealt with this and many women were told that if they disapeared to asssume its a negative and the other lot of women were told to treat it as a positive! So my question is for purely to put alot of women's mind at rest and to learn from experience.

What do many people think of this test!
Has it been reliable for u in the past? If so how many
did u get different result on different days?
Would you reccomend this test?

The info will be greatly appreciated.

Maybe instead of using one type of tester to confirm a result, use 2 or 3 types of testers...

Totally agree with using more than one type of brand. But as these fr test claim to give early detection testing. They are not doing so as I have read many website claiming the unsatisfactory with them!

Yes I agree. Though they are the first to reponse but their accuracy is not a good response...

Hahaha!
Just a joke!

Hi there

thought i'd give my opinion, I think although theres loads of different tests, the early detection , digital ones, expensive, cheap etc etc, they are pretty much all the same accuracy wise.
I bought the cheapest test that I could find in the farmacy, a simple strip of card that u dip in a cup of pee, no boxes, screens or anything, and!!... I tested the day before I was due for my af, as I had a feeling I was pregnant.
I think in the end its simply due to your hcg levels, every womans different, so are the levels of hcg etc, some women never get a positive result with urine tests, if your levels are low even these so called early response tests wouldn't be able to pick up the hcg!!.

I've read alot of your posts, but I don't understand why you are wasting so much time and money on hpt tests, just get a blood test done!! (unless you've done one already) then u'll know for sure if u are or aren't pregnant, its stupid getting all stressed by not knowing what could be nothing, or could be something very important that if you are, you've got to start thinking bout changing your lifestyle, vits, visit to the docs etc etc.

Anyway thats my opinion, I hope that you are pregnant!! :d , at least all this stressing will be worth it :d , sending out loads and loads of baby dust your way!!!
Xxxx

I took a first response test a few days ago, but it came up negative. I'm now 6 days late for my period, which i'm never late for. So, i'm thinking maybe I am pregnant, despite the test. Just thought i'd throw my 2 cents in about the test, don't know if it helps.

When I was pregnant with my son (4) years ago I took a fr hpt and t came up negitive, the next mornign I took clear blue that came up positive. That after noon I took another one ( since most hpt test come with too) I took the 3rd one came up negitive took the forth one before bed and it was positive. The next morning I call my obgyn told her what was going on and she had me come in that day for a blood test. And come to find out I was pregnant with my son. So just to say I dont buy fr hpt any more.
