Hi. I have a question about the hormones
used and birth control pills and how your
own hormones react with them. Last
december I became pregnant after a condom
broke and emergency contraception failed
me. I used plan b right away and all the
reasons that are given on why it should
fail don't apply to me. Could it be that
my body just didn't react to that dose of
hormones? And if that's true could the
same thing happen with the pill since it
uses the same hormones? Supposedly every
woman has a slightly different mix of
hormones. I started my first pack the
sunday of my first period. A week later
i've gotten my period again. Why isn't it
coming when i'm taking the sugar pills?
Could it be that my body just doesn't work
well with it?

When I started ortho novum, I was on my
period for like, 23 days straight. Now,
I am on ortho tri cyclen lo, just started
it, and my period last sunday, and I am
still on it!! It is driving me nuts!! I
just hope it doesn't last another 23 days!
