Ok, I dont know what the hell is going on.
My ass is covered in red dots. Some too
small to pop, but occasionaly some can be
poped. They are all down the sides of my
upper legs too. I have tried everything
from showering 3 times a day, and changing
my boxers 3 times a day, to scrubbing the
hell outta it. Any one of any advice at
all, its really bugging me cause ica nt
seem to do anything to get rid of them.
My face has a small amount of zits, but
they arent bad at all. Ive had these
spots on my butt for a long time now, and
they seem to be getting worse before
getting better. Helllp

It sounds like ingrown hairs or maybe an
infection in the hair follicles...The more
you scrub it the worse it will probably
get. Your Dr. Can probably give you
some antibiotics to help clear it up.

If it's still bothering you, you may want
to talk to a dermatologist about it. It's
most likely folliculitis, which is caused
by clogged hair follicles. It's possible
that it got irritated or infected. For
now, it's best to make sure to wear clean
clothes ( most importantly, underwear) and
not to use irritating soaps or anything.
Also, when you get out of the shower or
swimming pool, make sure to dry off
thoroughly and keep dry/clean.
A dermatologist can help you out more,
maybe even by prescribing a cream.

Antibiotics are dangerous. Try natural
means like balm 911. Cheap, but
effective. Walter, thanks for advice

I know exactly what you have. It's called
keratosis pilaris. I have the same thing.
You should research it to make sure it's
what you actually have. I have it on my
arms, thighs, cheeks, bum and back also.
They look like little red (sometimes
white) pimples, but too hard to pop or
anything like that. I've seen a dermo
about it and was perscribed a few
topicals, but so far, nothing helps. I
heard it's more common in young adults
from irish/celtic backgrounds (me lol) and
it should go away for the most part when
you're in your 30s.
I agree that it definitely sounds like
keratosis pilaris. I have it too. I've
had it for years and i'm now in my mid
30s. I've been having great results with
a combination of things. Neutrogena skin
smoothing body lotion, carmol 20 and kiss
my face soap. Seems to take all of these
to do the trick though. You can discuss
kp with other people that have it on the
discussion forum at www.Helpforkp.Com
and there's a list of products there to
treat kp in addition to what I use for
mine.
