Not Hungry
Posted: 09-23-05 17:19pm

It seems like lately I have to force myself to eat anything because food has just totally become the enemy. Nothing sounds good and if I could I probably wouldn't eat anything all day. Just the thought of food is blah. Today all i've had is a little bit of rice and a few candies which I know isn't good but I just don't feel like eating. I'm 12 weeks when will my craving for food come back??

im 38 weeks presently but during my 1st trimester there have been days when all I could eat was fruit. Trust me... All ur cravings (and then some) will be back shortly. Just be sure to take ur vitamins and only eat as much as u can stand right now to avoid getting sick :)

I am 12 weeks also. I can also go a whole day without eating, but the problem is, I actually get more sick on an empty stomach.

My cravings have slowly started to come back, but not even close to normal. Just remember, eat small things every few hours... You need food in your stomach to keep yourself from feeling sick. Its hard to do, but its better than being sick!

I was exactly the same as u!, at bout 6 weeks my appetite just went on holiday, a bit of it was to do with the morning sickness but even when I felt good, I could only manage snacks, like toast etc, instead of proper meals. Don't worry !! When I got to about 13 weeks, I woke up one sunday, went to my mother in laws for sunday lunch and for the first time I managed to eat starter, second, thirds etc etc hehe, from then i've managed to eat like normal, my appetite had come back!!, nothing exagerated though, not eating like a pig, but i'm eating really well now!.

So don't worry you'll be eating like normal before u know it!!
Xxxxxx
hope I helped

For the 1st tri, I couldn't eat anything and I couldn't keep my prenatals down. I was put on diclectin and lost over 10lbs! By about 13/14 weeks I was starving again. And I switched to non iron pre-natals and started taking an iron supplement only in my 3rd tri. My son was born at 8lbs, 6 oz and is now an almost 20lb 3 1/2 month old!!! Huge!

I think its starting to come back slowly now. I can't really complain all that much about morning sickness because in truth i've only actually thrown up 3 times and the last time was over a month ago. But I do still feel nauseous from time to time and the heaving hasn't stopped. Sometimes I think the heaving is worse then the actuall throwing up, but as long as I can eat again i'm good. :)

Heaving Worse

No way- not when you are pregnant- I only got morning sickness in my 2nd pregnancy (this one) and I found that if I actually threw up, I would keep throwing up, over and over and over for for ages, then feel horrible all day- but if I kept it to just a heave and got through it without being sick, i'd be fine within 20 minutes, and for the rest of the day.
I thought that if I just threw up, i'd feel better, and it'd be all over with- like when you have a stomach bug, but I was wrong.
You should be starting to feel better any day now, and you get starving then- I think around 18-25 weeks was my most hungry time.
Mind you, i'm 35 weeks now, and i'm still not turninng my nose up at much food-wise!!
