Please Read - Condition That No Doctor Has Prescribed Yet Posted: 09-24-05 11:00am
It all started about 5 years ago, I would
have strong pains in my right arm. As it
continued the pain started to leak in to
my shoulder and back, at times the pain
got so bad I couldn't even work. I have
seen many physical therapists, doctors,
specialists, etc. One night my nerves
flipped on me so bad, I blacked out and I
lost feeling in my arms and legs. That
night a doctor gave me a muscle relaxer,
soma, which I feel and other doctors has
had ever lasting effecting on my nerves
and muscles.
Today, I have a rediculously hard knot of
nerves in my back, it's about the size of
a baseball and it controls my shoulder,
back, arm and hand. When I feel like I
"break" it up my muscular actions feel
back to normal, but they continue to
tighten up (like they placing for screws
in my back and driving them in) on me and
are extremely painful at times, I can't
sleep which really throws my biological
clock off.
The good news I don't have any extensive
nerve damage, but no doctor has been
accurate to prescribe what I have, first
it was carpal tunnel, then ms,
fibromayalga, and the closest thing that
makes sense is myofacial pain. I am
still a young and active guy at the age of
40, and just last week I had a fever that
dropped and raised my body temp from 94 to
103 due to infection in the area where
"rub" out the knot.
If anyone here, (hoping and praying) has
been through this, heard of it, knows
someone who had it, let me know, I would
love to hear from someone, especially
someone who beat it. Thank you.

I know this is an old post, but I have to
say I relate to what browntollio is going
through. I"m only 24 years old myself, but
have been dealing with something very
similar the past few years.....nobody has
been able to explain it. The closest I
have come to realize what it may be is
"Myofascial pain"...
For me, there are knots all over my back,
ribcage, pelvis, chest, neck, and the area
behind my ears...and when they are
"released", I feel better...but eventually
everything resets back to normal.
I began to REALLY notice it after I
injured myself at work, and had to have
Carpal Tunnel surgery, and Deviated Septum
surgery. After the surgeries, I haven't
been myself...but i'll be back. It would
of course though, be very helpful to know
what exactly is going on....and know how I
can best treat myself other than what i'm
doing now(spending tons of money on
masssage treatment, osteo/chiro visits,
etc)> There's gotta be a way for the
knots to go away...permanently. The
buggers
