Is It Possible to Start Your Birthcontrol On the Wrong Day? Posted: 09-26-05 01:35am
I was on ovcon 35 for 13 months, then
recently switched to ortho tr-cyclen lo
because of spotting. I was a friday
starter on the ovcon, but my ortho pack
has sunday start printed, and no stickers.
So, I started the pill tonight
(sunday), without taking any pill for only
2 days.
But, I realize that there are technically
only two ways to start,
1) on the first day of your period
2) on the sunday after the first day of
your period
i was spotting on the ovcon, so the first
day of my last period was technically 2
thursday's ago (ending this last
wednesday) but I wasn't to start taking
the inactive pills until last friday.
Anyway, I think I did something wrong and
I wonder if anyone has any advice or
knowledge about this...

You should be alright; your period won't
start on the ortho until you begin the
sugar pills; so it sound slike you'll just
go a little longer than a month between
periods this time. You may start spotting
around the time your period should have
started, but your actual period won't
begin until the sugar pills.
