Superior Repositioning Splint Posted: 09-26-05 16:05pm
Is there anyone on this forum who have to
wear a srs? I have been wearing a srs
(splint) 24/7 for a week now for my tmd.
The pain has gotten a whole lot worse. I
have severe cramping in my jaws as well as
tension headaches, sinus headaches,
migraines, neck pain, shoulder/arm pain,
and earaches. I had this pain before I
got the splint but not as severe. I went
to my orthodontist today and when I told
him the pain was worse he replied "huh?"
that is not something I want to hear from
my doctor. He couldn't understand why I
wasn't getting better and told me to see a
physical therapist and possibly get
cortisone injections. Has anyone else
gotten worse from wearing a splint? If so
what did you do? Anyone had to see a
physical therapist? Injections? I really
need help, I can't live like this anymore.
