My blood sugar is running really high. I
went to dr's office the other day and
passed out right in lobby. They say I
need to be on shots but want to make sure
i'm not having ceizures first. I am
having several test done now to conclude
that is not my problem. I am eating
correctly. Any other suggestions on what
I can do till they finish the test to help
lower my sugar levels?

Tammy, I have been diabetic type-1 for
almost all mylife. Although I have passed
out too many times to bother count, they
have all been due to low blood glucose. I
have never passed out because of high
blood sugar. When my blood sugar used to
go very high, i'd first start drinking
water or other drinks often and urinate
very soon after. If I did not fight back
with insulin, i'd start to throw up and
feel very sick. I have never gone beyond
these symptems when I am high on blood
glucose. So I am very surprised with your
experience. Have you or others ever
tested your bgs anytime close to passing
out or while you're out?
