Q: Hole In the Sac??

I am almost 11 weeks pregnant and have been bleeding practically the whole time. I went in to er for the third time yesterday due to heavy bleeding. I had an ultrasound and another one today (my sixth one) they still seem unsure as to why I am bleeding.

The doctor said that it looked like there was a whole in the sac and then he also said that sometimes bleeding is caused by the placenta. Still, he is going to send me to see another doctor but I still don't have an appointment yet.

Does anyone know what this could mean?

The doctor doesn't seem to be too sure (he is not an obstetrician) , but I still haven't been able to get an earlier appointment with my obstetrician.

Has anyone had any similar problems before??? The baby still has a regular heartbeat and appears fine.

Any thoughts will help

A hole in the sac generally means just that. Theres a hole leaking the fluid. Its not a good thing. I hope that it closes up for you not sure if they do but I hope it does. I'm truely sorry, but i'm not sure what your doc will do considering your soo early on your pg. But he could do 2 different things. Suggest that you terminate th baby very sadly. Or place you on antibodies to keep from getting infections. One of my daughters did that and they placed me on antibodies and enduced but she was due in 2-3 weeks. You take care hun and I would call your doctor and see what he plans to do if it is serious he shouldn't be keeping you in the dark. If theres blood leaking into the sac that could also cause problems. I don't know all the details but only from what I know about it. Guess it all depends on where it is and how you carry your baby. I'm not meaning to worry you but I would call and ask your doctor asap.
