Sonograms On Your 1st Visit? Posted: 12-02-03 20:57pm
Hey just a quick question,....
How many of ya'll got sonograms on your
first visit. If you didn't then when did
u get them. My doctor told me that he is
going to do a sono to check for a
heartbeat and check things out and also
check my due date and see how far along I
am. But my sister said that she never got
one her first visit. And also... Were
they able to detect a heart beat if u did
get one before 8 weeks?

My first visit to the doctors, they did
give me an ultrasound but they didnt see a
baby at all, but the placenta and the yolk
sac were there...So they rescheduled me 2
come back in two weeks ...I went back, and
had another ultrasound done, and there was
my precioius little baby, so small and
his/her heart was just a beating so
fast...At that time I was 7 weeks, and 5
days, and it was still to early to hear
the heartbeat...You can't hear the
heartbeat until about the 10th to 12th
week...Next time I go to the doctors ill
be 14 weeks and ill be able to hear...But
don't get worried, everything will work
out keep me posted on how it
goes....It'll come soon enough...Get a
picture of it too...I look at mine every
day(even though it looks like a
peanut.....!!!)hehe

My sister was about a month and head the
heartbeat and then thenext visit she got
an ultrasound and we saw the baby! She
was a tiny bean!

Hey
hey when I found out I was pregnant the
clinic doctor sent me for a ultrasound to
check out dates and all that .. It is
normal well for out here anyways.. I
didnt get to see the screen at all though.
But he was there and they got a heartbeat
189bpm:| so fast but thats ok.. The first
visit to your ob/gyn she might see if she
can hear the heartbeat with the doppler..
But dont worry if she cant u usually have
to be about 11 to 12 weeks for the doctor
to hear it with the doppler
