Puffiness Under the Eyes! Posted: 12-02-03 22:15pm
Hi out there, I know this is probably a
stupid question but I am going to ask it
anyway. I am 43 but do not look my age.
I have really good skin. However, under
my eyes I have noticed a lot of puffiness.
I don't know if it is related to
allergies or water retention. I'm a
vegetarian so I eat fairly healthy...Not
too much salt or fatty foods. Any
suggestions out there? Thanks

Hi! Normally any sort of "puffyness"
whether it is your eyes, your fingers, or
your entire body is from water retention.
Make sure you're drinking plenty of water!
Good luck!

I get puffiness under my eyes after a hard
night of drinking. As you suggested, this
might be from water retention or from
dehydration? I'm not sure I quite
understand.

Be sure to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep each
night. Another thing that may help is tea
~ take a tea bag (green tea is best) and,
after soaking in water cool it off in the
fridge for 1/2 hour. Then lay it on the
puffy part under the eye. It makes the
puffiness go away. I've also tried this
with cucumber slices.

yes I agree. A cold soaked tea bag works
miracles for puffy eyes.

Puffiness Under the Eyes Posted: 12-18-05 10:52am
A few weeks ago I noticed some puffiness
and darkness under my eyes. The right
side is much worse than the left side, and
i've tried under eye creams, tea bags,
chilled spoons, cucumbers, even plain old
ice packs, and neither side has showed
even the slightest bit of improvement. I
am only 22 years old, and I get adequate
sleep, but I do have sinus problems right
now. I think I might even have a sinus
infection because I have a lot of pressure
and pain all throughout the nose and cheek
area. Could a sinus infection be causing
this puffiness and darkness? Please
help!
