Hi all sorry I was just thinking..
I remeber when I was pg with my first and
I had all these blood test, I mean they
are always drawing blood. But anyway one
time while I was haveing on (i hate
needles) the nurse told me that you know
after you have the baby that the baby will
be the one dealing with all the needles.
Grr.. I use to cry everytime (still do)
they have to give my kids shots. And
that whole foot thing when they draw blood
from the babys. It looks soo mean...
And they say well it doesn't hurt them as
much as you think its just they don't like
being held down. Whats up with that?
(sorry joy had shots not too long ago)
granted i'm not a big fan of being held
down but to tell me a shot doesn't hurt?
Anyway just figured i'd share that.
Sorry in a really talkative mood and
everyone I know is at work or heading to
bed. I'm a night owl lol.. Though I
tend to put my kids to bed about now and
go up stairs and watch the tv. But
theres nothing on pout....

I hated watching them do the pku test on
trey but it is for the health of the baby
and he really didn't seem to mind too
much. He didn't cry for his 2 month
vaccinations either but we'll see about
his 4 month ones in about 3 weeks. :(

Actually they draw blood form the foot,
they give shots in the thigh... But
still its really painful to watch. I
know joy was very jundice and had to have
blood draw 2 times a week til it was gone.

Hi,
i know it must be difficult to watch your
child having a painful examination -
vaccinations or other invasive diagnostic
tests.
But me personally i'd rather see a child
being vaccinated and for them to be upset
for a few minutes than to see them very
sick suffering from a serious disease with
possible fatal outcomes.
I don't think any practitioner likes to
see a child upset from their medical
treatment – they are only trying to
protect the child as well as society as a
whole from becoming ill in the long run.
