Ok my weirdest craving was mc. D's french fries dipped in a strawberry shake... Other then that it was just mainly the normal ice cream, strawberries, canalope, oranges (i can't eat very many), chocolete, milk I think I drank a gallen a day, chicken, pickles (alone) and a few others but they were fairly normal. Pickles was a big thing to eat a jar a week. I hated when I ran out too.

I haven't been able to eat sweet fruit. Banana's which are supposed to be good for morning sickness--nope I just eat one and 30 mins later I puke it out.

I do enjoy salty foods, limes, spicy food, and candy. All very bad for me! I try to eat more cauliflower and brocolli, so I won't eat so much bad food.

Ok ladies but do you feel sometime that you are smelling some kind of food? Forexample I was in my official weekly meeting at my work and all of sudden I have started smelling fresh apples and some times its nuts . In this minute I wish I can eat it but later on it goes.. Do any one had the same feeling?

I did. It was amazing coz my hubby cant smell it at all! Lol...That happened during my early trimester. I sometimes have a hard time going to places coz I feel like throwing up....Especially on garlics! But yeah, it was cool.

Congrats on the pregnancy!

Yes, the hightened sense of smell thing is annoying! Lol. The thought of food would make me sick, so smelling food would also make me sick.

Then, even more annoying, is seeing a food commercial on tv... Craving it... Ordering it or going out to buy it... Only to have your craving pass and now your totally sick at the idea of eating it lol. That is what I went through for the past 2 months. Horrible! I had to eat right it right when I was craving it. And if I ate something I was craving, I couldn't eat it again, not for another few weeks atleast, because the thought of it would make me sick. Oh thank god those days are over lol

as for what I crave now, I crave mcdonalds french fries, but I fight that craving because I know if it wouldn't be good if I ate them every day lol. And of course, pickles, but I have always loved pickles hehe. And then there is chocolate peanut butter ice cream from baskin robbins.... I have to go get me some of that today lol. I also crave fruit smoothies from the local smoothy place here. So luckily I have cravings of healthy things too hehe.

Cravings
Posted: 10-04-05 12:12pm

:p I can't really say that I had any wild cravings. But I loved tuna fish and now I am so off of it :( . But I find that I vary towards salads, fruit and vegetables and yougurt, and ginger ale. But I guess I drink that to settle my stomach becuz of my 'morning' sickness. Oh, and beef. I haven't eaten beef in about two years, and now I find that I must have an all beef roti or a hamburger everyday. I think my cravings are mild, but I am yet early too, 9 weeks, so I guess I have a long way go. But congrats on your pregnancy

Everything not too sweet like licorice, animal crackers, not too salty either, normally love chips but cant eat them. Sugar free ice cream is okay. But I mainly like fruits and veggies, really lite foods not heavy. Occasionally hamburgers, but mostly I just like turkey or something like that instead. With lots of veggies. Extra extra tomatoes and lettuce. Cucumber sandwiches I love too, before preg but specially now. Any kind of fruit and vegetables. And whole tomatoes yum yum, ketchup on everything. Dont care for my normal spicey foods and they taste too hot for me now. Chinese food, specailly the lo mein noodles and the pork fried rice

Hey, congratulations.
For the first 9 weeks, the only foods I could even think of without being sick were- oranges, pineapple, popsicles and dolmades (rice and stuff wrapped up in vine leaves)

after that passed, I wanted grandmother style roast dinners, with gravy- I wanted potatoes and gravy with everything- and I don't usually like potatoes, especially mashed-which is what I wanted.

Now that i'm 35 weeks, i've started wanting dolmades again!!!! And instead of potatoes and gravy with everything, I want salad and brown rice.

Mind you, there isn't a time of the day I wouldn't go a mcdonalds !!!! I manage not to, because i'm home with my 2 and a half year old, and if I had it, she'd have it, so that keeps me sensible about it.

I dunno if they are real cravings though, just things I really fancy- I don't feel like I have to have them or i'll go mad or anything.
It's kind of like being hung-over, and thinking a certain food wil sort you out.

I know a lot of people who dip their mcdonalds chips into their ice-cream or milkshakes- mostly guys actually, I tried it once myself, but ugghh.

Mine was anything with strawberry (yummy)! Name it. Fresh strawberry, yoghurt, shake, ice cream, jam, etc. And oh.... I love the smell of a freshly toasted bread!
