Naming After My Daughter?
Posted: 12-03-03 08:45am

:d hi
i've been thinking of names for a girl. At the beguinning of last year I had a miscarriage and I decided to call it amber cherelle! Thing is I absolutlly love those names! Theres no other names I can think of for a girl, but it would be wrong if I had a girl to name it amber cherelle wouldn't it?
Anyway if I had a girl I couldn't call her after her sister!?
Ohhhh I miss her so much! Crying
or Very sad
i want a unique, special and/or different name for a little girl!!! Can you help with any ideas?

Hi

Well,
my name is marissa, my twin sisters' name (she passed away) was clarissa. When my uncle and his wife had a daughter, they named her after my sister. I honestly never thought about it, but that is a very nice thing to do. If you can handle calling your daughter the same name as your first daughter, than that would be beautiful!
Hope I helped.

Don't give your little girl her sister's name. That just means you didn't relly care about her

goo luck finding a "real" name for her Smile

Hey kayley,
first off welcome to the boards! I think you should somehow incorporate your first daughter's name with your current child, I mean I know personally I couldnt call my daughter something that her older sister, hadn't you miscarried, would have been called. It would just be too awkward for me. I'm sorta in the same position as you, because when I have my daughter i'm planning on naming her in memory of my cousin who recently passed away. Her name was jenna ann, so i've been trying to figure out different ways to incorporate that into my future daughter's name. Something like jenna nicole, not the exact same thing, but pretty close to. I hope all goes well with this pregnancy...Keep us updated!

I really like that, oh my gosh thank you so much! I didn't think I would be able to put something together with jenna, without the first name just being jenna! Lol if that makes any sense....But that's really pretty...If you have any other ideas please let me know! Laughing
