first off, I love your name. If I ever have a little girl, i'll name her savannah. Lol

don't be alarmed hun. It's rare, but happens. Most likely you will have to have a cesarean section. That is the usual with breech. In order to avoid any hard to the baby. Don't worry, doctors deal with this all the time. I'm surprised your doctor did not explain it. Start asking questions, that is what they are there for. Your baby could still turn by the way. And if not, don't worry, it will be ok. Your baby should be fine. Sometimes those babies just do not want to cooperate. Good luck and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. :o)

jamie!
i don't see the doctor until october 13 I just had the ultrasound the day after my last oppointment on september 29th

Hi savannah,

last year my sister was scheduled to have a c-section because her baby was breech. The morning of the scheduled section, they did another ultrasound and the baby was turned! So she ended up having a natural birth. Hopefully the same thing will happen to you!

Babies normally tend to turn before labor... The baby might be breeched now but she could turn in a week or so. No alarm hun. Just means that shes not ready yet. If she is breeched when you go into labor then more then likely they will either try and turn her (which I hear hurts like heck) or give you a c-section. More then likely the c-section though. But its very rare for a women to go into labor while a child is breeched. If they do its very rare that they are delivered since it can harm the baby.

re: chiropractors
My 2nd baby ended up being breech (unfortunately everything I tried techniques, exercises) didn't work...I was told chiropractors have a way of turning them without actually physically maneuvering your body...i dont remember the name of what its called but it wouldnt hurt to research on this...i was well on the way of having an unbreech baby but my baby ended up coming early over 2 weeks and there was no time so i ended up having a c sec...good luck ! ;o)
