Pregnant & Worried

:(
hello, I just found out last month that I am pregnant, as of this week I am now 9 weeks. The thing is that when I had my first scan done the doctor said that my yolk sac wasn't forming properly and he feared that I had already miscarried the baby, also the scan was saying that I shud have been about 7 weeks along and he was hearing no heartbeat, yet from the dates I gave him when I had my last period I wud only have been about 5 weeks along. He told me to come back in two weeks and he wud do another scan. When I had the other scan in two weeks we actually saw a fetus and the heart was beating, but he also picked up something else attached to the baby and ruled out fibroids and cyst. He said that it cud have been one of a twin which died.
Has anyone out there ever experienced anything like that?
My thing is that if it really is one of a twin that has died, how will it affect the living fetus? And will I eventually lose that baby too?
I am so worried. I had two miscarriages last year, one of which was a twin in december.
Really looking forward to hearing from all you mom's out there.

Hi mommie,
though I haven't had the "same" situation happen to me...I did lose one twin when I was preg with my 1st child...The reason it wasnt' the same is they did not see anything attached to him. But my son was born fine...No complications, perfectly normal...My only advise to you is to try your hardest not to stress because that will put stress on your baby...I will keep you and your baby in my prayers!! Keep us up dated...

Thanks so very much. I go back to my ob/gyn on the 12th, so I will definately let you know what is going on, although I am having the worse 'morning' sickness and really bad indigestion. Do you know what I can take to releave that? I am so uncomfortable, especially at night and I go to the bathroom so often, I never feel as though I am getting a good night's rest. Gotten to the point where my fiance doesn't even sleep by me anymore becuz once I get out of bed he wakes up and can't get back to sleep and he has a really hectic job so he is so tired the next day.
Anyway, I have tried salten crackers and my doctor gave me gravol, but that doesn't really seem to work and I hate to throw up, always leave sme feeling so tired, raw and weak. It is not a great experience at all. Not that I am knocking being pregnant, lord knows I am so happy for this pregnancy, just that some of the symptoms seem to be taking a toll on my body.
Anyadvice wud be appreciated at this point.

Sweety,
i dont have much advise for the morning sickness other than what you already tried...Ooohhh try extra polar ice gum!! That's one thing that always help me when my stomach feels queezy!!! it's worth a try! I know how terrible you're feeling...Look on the bright side...It should only last around a month or so!!
As far as your man goes...I can understand him...But, he is a part of this and he needs to be 100% by your side with all your symptoms!! Once that precious baby is here all will be behind you and you will both realize that all this is completely worth it!!
Good luck!! And keep me posted!!

Mood Swings
Posted: 10-06-05 08:48am

Thanks so very much once again. I find that once I eat plenty times a day but smaller amounts that it's not so bad. But I seem to have more 'night' sickness than 'morning' sickness. I wonder why it's called that :) really strange. And tony has really come around, I think one night of seeing me throw up and he hasn't left my side. I guess now he sees how horrible it is for me he always wants to be there now to do for me, so that in itself has really started to make me feel good about myself. But I tell you, sometimes I have some of the worse mood swings and I can never tell which end is up. I mean I had my daughter 11 years ago when I was 27 but to be honest I can't remember being this moody or so emotional. Somedays it just seems to take a toll on my body where I don't want to talk to anyone, and even poor tony seems to get my wrath. The only one who doesn't is my daughter, and she is such a helpful soul. Even my poor mother stays out of way at times, and then there are other days when I am the happiest person in the world and fun to be with. My brother calls me 'the incredible hulk', makes fun of me. I don't mind just that sometimes these moods just seem to take me over just like that. I turn my phone off and I don't take calls from anyonebecuz I just want to be left alone and sometimes I don't think that my friends always understand, especially the ones who have never had kids, those are the ones who really piss me off, they seem to think that I am being anti-social and plain unmannerly. But I try to explain to them that it's not that at all. I had one that sent me a really nasty email becuz she keeps calling and getting my answering machine. But to be honest apart from the mood swings some days after a night of throwing up I am really just not up to being social and I just don't answer my phone. I have tried to explain that to her but sometimes she gets really upset at me nonetheless {sigh} pregnancy really does take its tool on you mentally & physically.
