I've had every test in athe book and all have been positive. Today I had a discogram. It was very painful :( anyway here is my picture from the discogram. Tell me what you thoink.

Doc says it's l5-s1, and may be able to be carved a little instead of fusion. What do you think? Thank you for your help! I'll check back later today!

oh, I remember the discograms all to well. I have had several in the past for cervical and lumbar disc problems. Well, the good thing is that it was painful. Now your doctor knows what he is looking at for surgery. Your l5-s1 does look different from the other levels. L5-s1 disc space does look pretty narrowed but, your doctor says no fusion hey? There are other forums where you can get more help with your questions, if you want them?

When you say carved do you mean a discectomy?

when I say narrow what I am saying is the disc between the l5 vertebra and the s1 vertebrae looks like it dehydrated some and the l5 and s1 vertebra are closer together which is called spinal stenosis. So when you said you noticed it closer together that is what I meant by narrowed.

I will send you some links through private message ok?

Does spinal stenosis usually require surgery?
