Trying to Conceive For Almost 1 Year And Very Frustrated Posted: 10-05-05 20:54pm
I have been trying to get pregnant for
almost a year. My first child will be 3
this november and was conceived in 2
weeks. I have now been diagnosed with
pcos. I have been taking progesterone to
bring on my period and them clomid to make
me ovulate. I had the test done to see
if my tubes were clear and they are. My
husband was tested and he is fine. I am
so frustrated that i'm not pregnant yet.
I am due for my period in a few days and
hoping that I don't get it becuase i'm
pregnant rather than because my cycle is
messed up again.
At what point do the doctors decide that
they are going to try a different method
when the one they are using now isn't
working. I just started seeing an
infertility specialist who isn't doing any
more for me then my own ob/gyn did.
I never realized how much effort sex would
take out of my husband and I when you have
to do it at certain times and if you miss
that time you lose a month.

A couple at my church were trying to have
kids for 5 years. And they went through
the fertility drugs for a long while, then
artificial insem., and were about to try
invitro ($$) , but then they got everyone
praying for them. Just sent out a huge
prayer request. And god answered...
...They had triplets. 3 boys. No joke.
But everyone in our congregation is
helping them with diapers and formula.
Hey, they asked for it! :)

Good grief....One child is enough for me.
I have a 3 year old and I don't know how
people can handle three. I wish your
frinds luck and happiness always.

Are you seeing an ob/gyn or a reproductive
endocrinologist?
