Accidental Overdose - How Serious?
Posted: 10-06-05 01:41am

I don't think i'm in a lot of trouble, so I haven't booked in with a doctor, but I think I might have accidentally overdosed on my epilim last night. I am on 900mg twice a day. When I got home from the pub last night I thought I popped out one 500mg and two 200mg's, like I usually do. Went to take my breakfast tablets this morning though and found a solitary 200 in the packet, which just doesn't add up (because I take the 200s in pairs). Hope this makes sense.
All I can think is that in the dark I must have popped out 2 x 500s and 1 x 200 - a dose 300mg higher than what it should have been. Just took the normal 900mg dose this morning.
Just wondering if I should be stressed, what I should do, any side effects, etc. Also, I was due for a blood test this week but think last night's 'overdose' will effect my levels. How long should I put off getting the blood test so that the levels sent to my neuro are the 'real' figures. Sorry for the long post, hope it's not too jumbled and makes some sense, and that someone can help. Xoxoxo

I would call the neuro and pharmacy and ask them. I think one big dose like that might make you a bit dopey, tired or have a harder time thinking,b ut do not think it would do more, but I am not a doc...

Hope you are ok!
