Lower Back Pain, Spine Or Stress? Posted: 10-07-05 06:17am


I have a bf who had for few times this hard pain in his lower back. He doesn't wonna visit a doctor saying it will pass in 4 days...But i'm getting kind of worried and confused what this might be. He is 29 now and he kind of has a bigger belly....Right now he had the hardest pain ever, he could barly walk! When he stood he was little bit bend forward and on the side and needed help while walking. He was feeling pain when sitting still but just a little bit, and less when he was layed down.It lasted for 4/5 days, and first night he had trouble sleeping but second night he didn't. He aslo couldn't bend forward when he is sitting but not when he is standing, or move left and right with torso (so I guess the pain is local). He wasn't lifting anything heavy. Can you please help me and at least aproximatly say what could be wrong and what to do? I was wondering could all this happen because of the stress? He is suffering from social anxiety (it's getting better now, but reasently he had stressful times with exams and so on)...Could it happen coz of the tension? I was wondering also if it is a regular back pain if he feels the pain at the end on the spine("tail")?I know my cousin had a problem with it coz he wasn't sitting properly, more on spine then on butt.... Hi ivana ~ I thought your post looked familiar. I read your post on spine doctor -bulletin board. I see you still didn't get one of the staff to give you an answer. I am so sorry. I hate to tell you that you may not get an answer here either. Check out this board. They have a spine forum there.
