Q: I Have a Question...

I have heard about little pains or cramping that have to do with your uterus stretching ...

My question is: how was is for you ladies? How did it feel compared to cramping that could be dangerous? And can you feel it throughout your whole pregnancy or just at the beginning?

(some of you might have read my postings from before. I have been having bleeding since the second week of august and it still hasn't stopped. I am 12 weeks now. The ob/gyn has not seen me yet until I am 16 weeks and so far I am still bleeding pretty heavy everyday up until now)

i have had different types of cramping and I don't know when I should worry and when I shouldn't.

(as of two weeks ago when I had my last u/s my baby was still growing and doing fine)

You should go see someone especially if you have cramping and bleeding together. Maybe go to your hosptial and see a doctor waiting that long probably isnt good. I had some spotting and somtimes I still do. I am 16 weeks now. My bleeding was never heavy, very light. I went straight to the hospital to see a doctor. They say most women will experience spotting in their pregnancys.
I had and still do get a sort of pain its more streching than cramping it's the ligaments pulling and streching.
Thats good you went for an ultrasound and the baby looks good and is growing. I hope everything works out for you and all is well.

Hey thanks for the reply. It seems not very many people like to answer my questions. Maybe I write too much :p

i live in on canada and my ob won't see me until I am 16 weeks. I have been to the er three times because of heavy bleeding and I still bleed heavily almost everyday. It's not just spotting. I haven't been having as many cramps in the past 3 weeks but I am still concerned. I have not had any definite answers and everyone is giving me the runaround.

It's stressful sometimes.

Yeah I totally understand I was just stressed out with having little spotting I could imagine having actual bleeding. Would you be able to go to a hospital near by? That would be a good idea. That's good the cramping has gone down. Or maybe try and see another doctor. You could be having a misscary or somthing serious. Better to make sure. I was talking to my cousin about bleeding and she told me when she was pregnant with her daughter she had lots of bleeding she said it was like her period the whole pregnancy. Now that would be scary.

You say you saw your doctor about the heavy bleeding... What did she say??

I saw my family doctor who said he would refer me to an ob.

The ob says he doesn't see anyone before 16 weeks.

I went back to the Dr. Asking if he could just send me to any other gynecoloigists and all he said was I have done all I can do just bug the ob now and see if you can convince him to take you sooner.
I couldn't convince the secretary.

I tried calling the teen health center even though I am not a teen but I wanted to see if they could help or tell me who to talk to. They told me to talk to my Dr.

All of them ultimately told me "if you have heavy bleeding go to the er"

the three times I went to the er the nurses and Dr. Were upset that nobody had taken a look at me and they are not too sure as to what's wrong. (that's after 6-8 hours of waiting in the er just to take me in)

in the two hospitals that I went to the er in they told me that someone would be calling me to set up an appointment soon.
I have not heard from anyone yet. I have been waiting for a month!!

This really sucks!

I would deff. Go see another doc. Maybe go to a walk in clinic. Sometimes they have pretty good docs there. Other than that I can't believe they are just making you wait. Good luck to you. I really hope everything works out for you.

Funny you say "walk in clinic"

i went to a walk in clinic when right before I found out I was pregnant. I went in because I had been bleeding for 3 weeks at that time back in the first week of september.

The doc asked for an urine sample and as I was waiting for him to come and see me he opened the door and said "you're pregnant" I said well how can it be since I have been bleeding for so long?" he said "well maybe you are in the middle of a miscarriage for all I know but my work here is done" I asked "well what do I do know?" he said "go see your family doctor, but my work here is done that's all I can do"

i was shocked, and so scared when he told me that I just started to cry.

I have had bad luck with the docs and I have been searching for help and answers since I found out, but I still don't have any definite ones.

I still feel pregnant too, so I am praying for a miracle!

Holly cr@p. Whare do you live. I can't believe that doctors are treating you like this. I guess the only thing that you can do is march right into you ob's office and demand some answeres and help. This is your child they are playing with. I wouldn't take no for an answere.

How far along are you? I'd phone another ob/gyn, or is there only the one where you are. As far as I know, they'll see you at 12 weeks here. Good luck

They are telling me that only my family Dr. Can refer me to an ob. If I try to go to an ob myself he will not take me. He will ask me to go through my Dr. I live in ontario canada
