Switching Pills, Spotting, When to Start New Pills?
Posted: 10-10-05 13:29pm

I recently started velivet (generic for cyclessa) 3 weeks ago. I stopped the pills 2 weeks into taking it (per my doctor) because I was very emotional and could not stop crying. My doctor then precribed me alesse (though the pharmacy gave me the generic) and told me to wait until I got my period to start the new pills. I started spotting 2 days after stopping velivet, this past saturday. I'm not sure if this is my period or not. My question is - should I start taking the new pills now, or wait to see if I get a period next week when it is due? (but then if I don't get it, I may be waiting another month!)

I would probably go on and start it now, it probably wouldn't mess your cycle up too bad if it wasn't your period. I think that's how I did mine the first time, because I just was spotting, and not a full period. But, you might need to ask someone else for sure? But i'd go on and start them...

Hope this helped!!
