Hi all!! During the last few weeks I have been experiencing extreme vaginal pains, not like period pains but really tightening and cramping and not "around" the pubic bone, it seems like its right in it!!! Can anyone help with what thismight be? My other half says "its all just getting ready!!" but i'm not convinced as this is the 28th week of my 3rd pregnancy and have never felt these pains before (dont get mewrong its not a constant pain, its mainly when I relax but its very uncomfortable when it comes, please help!!!, vikki

Pains, Pains, Pains
Well, I am 36 weeks pregnant and I have been having pains in my vaginal area (sharp stabbing pains - that feel as though they are inside) since I was 27 weeks. When it first started happening I freaked out....But my doctor actually told me that it was just my body getting ready for the baby.... I will say that they dont bother me as much now - I kind of got used to them.. :d

Yup your body is getting ready. 28 weeks is also about the time that baby decides to go head down so that could be it too.

thanks very much for reply, it actually makes sense what you are saying as about 3 weeks ago when I had a scan the baby was breech so maybe it is the baby turning, thanks very much!! X
