I am 30 years old and I was diagnosed 2
years ago with lupus. I had been sick
since I was 21. I had been diagnosed with
sjogrens,hypothyroidism and rhuematoid
arthritis first. When my doctor said you
have lupus I didn't think much of it.She
didn't act like it was a big deal.So I
didn't take my medicine right and I didn't
go to her much. I just knew I was sick
and very weak alot of time.I was able to
get disability because of all my problems
which is way more than the three I first
found out I had. Well this past month I
went to a support group and I found out
this disease is serious!I also found out
i'm not crazy!Which felt awesome.There was
only 3 people in the group but alot of
symptoms I have they have.I would lie to
spread the word about lupus and help to
raise money for the foundation.I thought
of getting the lupus bracelets and some
brochures and setting in front of a store
to raise awareness. Does this seem to be
a way I can put the word out there for you
guys and me and the future lupus patients?
If you have any other ideas I would
really appreciate it. Thanks alot for
taking the time to read this.
