Mental Vs Physical Illness Posted: 10-12-05 10:50am
Ok, this might sound like a dumb
question...But why the distinction between
"mental illness" and "physical illness".
How is a mental illness not physical? I
don't get it.

Physical illness starts from the body,
like cancer and a mental illness is
triggered from phycological problems which
can become also physical. It's more about
the reason for it starting, people can
become depressed because they've been
depressing problems or feelings but it can
also then be effected by hormones and
become a chemical imbalance.
I hope that makes it a lilttle clearer.
I'm not an expert but this is what i've
been told.
