Affraid to Try Yasmine.. Worried About Weight Gain.. Help Posted: 10-13-05 22:48pm
I am new to yasmine. My doctor put me on
yasmine for polycystic ovaries. I have
taken ortho tri cyclen and I was miserable
while taking it. I gained 60+ lbs.... I
cried all the time. I havent taken birth
control for a while now. I now deal with
not having a period for as long as 6
months. I gained 15 lbs and I freaked. I
have been dealing with bulima for a period
of 2 years. I deal with this problem
daily. Constant worry about gaining
weight still enters my mind... Thus
brings me to my current problem, will I
gain a lot of weight if I try to take
yasmine. Does anyone have any comments on
yasmine. Any will help. Also.. I get
migranes very bad ... Did anyone have
migraines while taking yasmine?

Hello
i am also suffering from bulimia
(currently in recovery) and have the same
weight worries. I am on yasmin and have
had no weight or water retention problems,
even though I tend to gain weight very
easily. I haven't had any side effects ar
all on it. Good luck and I hope you can
live eating disorder free someday - stay
strong!!

my doctor just gave me
yasmin on thursday. I haven't started
taking it yet. I have been reading about
it and I don't think it casues weight
gain, just the shot does.
