Q: Ativan/lortab During Pregnancy

I was prescribed lortab during my last pregnancy but only took it 1 or 2 times. Has anyone else taken it?

And what about ativan? Or similar benzos, like xanax? I know we aren't supposed to take them during the first trimester because it can cause cleft palate, but anyone have experience taking it later in pregnancy?

I have an extremely frightening, panic-provoking situation coming up in a few weeks and want to keep my options open. My ob told me not to take ativan but you have to wonder if they are just covering their behinds, you know?

You should talk to your doctor or even get a second apinion about taking ativan. For some reason I don't think anyone should take it if you are pregnant. Here is a website you can check out about the drug. I just wouldn't want to see anything bad happen to you or your baby. Good luck and I hope it all works out for you :)

I say no. I was on paxil before I got preg and cut my dose down while preg and now am off of it. But ativan is dangerous. Y.O.G.A!!!!!! That's my advice.
