First Time Ttc.
Posted: 10-15-05 09:40am

Well, let me introduce myself. I'm kara. I'm 23 years old. This month, we have decided we're ttc. Now, keep in mind we haven't been careful beforehand at all. Lol. We just decided that we'd own up to what we were doing. So it's been about 3 months since we started.

I love hearing other people's stories *like any other woman on here ttc* I just want to find some friends to talk to and stick with through this, since it can be hard.

Wouldn't it figure, when you're not trying... Bam! You're pregnant. And when you are trying... Mother nature outright ignores you.

Hi kara, i'm michelle!
My story.....Well, I found out I was pregnant(not ttc) with my first son at 17, delivered him at 18. After he was a year, my husband and I wanted another so we started ttc. One year into ttc I started to worry that maybe something was wrong so we made an appointment to see my obgyn. Did numerous tests...Everything came back normal. Had an ultrasound which showed what appeared to be poly cystic ovarian syndrome
then we decided to have this procedure done that checks your fallopian tubes for any blockage.... Not one but both tubes were blocked! I was pretty distraught over it. However, the following week after this procedure was done, I conceived :o
on may 22 2002 I delivered my second son, jordan!

I hope everything goes well for you!

Wow! I was 17 when I was pregnant with my son, too. I was 18 when I had him. He's four now. And we figured that now is a good time for siblings, and such.

I am really scared that something is amiss, though I don't have anything to back it up. I just have a weird feeling. My Dr. Says that he tends not to worry about young woman ttc. I swear I want to slap him. Lol

but thanks for sharing your story! It makes me feel like even if I get thrown a curve ball, there's help.

Four is the perfect time....
My boys are three years apart. It's nice!

I know your chances of having complications getting pregnant are lower due to age, but anything is possible.
Did you have any problems with your first?

Nope. It was easy getting pregnant. But since then, af has been getting heavier, very painful, etc. I feel like it's really silly to worry. But on the other hand, I feel like my body is trying to tell me something. Who knows! Won't find out until I try, right?

On another note, I have mentioned that I would like to be checked for endometriosis (sp?) and my gyn hasn't done anything about it. I think it might be time to change dr's

I would definitely be thinking about changing doctor's.

You should mention to your doctor that you are ttc and you want to make sure there are no problems.

Hopefully everything will work out.....

Thanks michelle.

I have told him that i'm ttc. And he's given me the green light. I get a papsmear every 6 months because precancerous cells were seen on my cervix. So far, everything has checked out fine. He said it would have no effect on my trying to get pregnant. I have to go see him next month, and I think i'm going to tell him I want to be checked out, or i'll be finding a new Dr.

We too have just decided to try for real also.

There has been a few chances in the past couple months but now we've actually decided we're ready for a baby.

We're getting married in 3 weeks (private ceremony in maui) and I would love to be pregnant for that! Do you think it's bad to be drinking while you're trying?

If he is a good doctor, he will want to expel all fear or future complications if any.
Well at least he's being cautious by testing you every 6 months. You have to be careful!

I have posted pictures of us... I'd love to see pictures of your son. What's his name? I don't even know your name :p

Michelle! I'll post the link for my son's pictures later this afternoon! My name is kara. And it's nice to meet you.

And congrats kelly! Thats a wonderful place to get married! I don't think a glass or two of champagne will hurt on your wedding night. But anything after that if your seriously trying probably won't help your chances.

Jess, good luck with the endo. Just remember that they can do all sorts of things now, and that you're chances are still good. But keep in touch with your dr!

And thank you to everyone who is sharing their stories, it really helps a lot.

Hi all, my name is lisa and I had my daughter when I was 17, one month shy of 18. She is now 6yrs. I am now married and my husband had a vasectomy. We went for a reversal in january. Last month we got a count of 11 million after "none seen" for like 7 months. This month we did an analysis and it came back really good except for the motility. We have 43 million now. :) so we have been really trying for about 2 months now. In these two months, last month and this month, 4 dpo I have started a very light spotting of light pink. Last month I got my period two weeks later :( this month the spotting has just started again. I don't get it. I'm not stressed at all. Oh well. I have a call into my doc.

So hi to all and gl. I love to try to help other people and appriciate anybody elses input on this to!

Hey tammy here, I am trying to have a baby also. I have read to elevate your lower body (after sex) so that your lower body is pointed up. Make sense? Anyway, this is so the sperm can have a better chance of staying inside and "swimming" to were they need to go.........

the longer we can keep them in the better chance, I seriously will not move sometimes for an hour. My husband thinks i'm crazy. He kinda feels like it will happen when it happens and looks at me like i'm crazy cause I come up with all this new stuff to do everyday. I am not preganat yet though...... But with me I think it is bacuse my body is not back on track from my d&c yet.
