Please Help Explain

When getting a medical abortion...(ru-486)
is it absolutly neccessary for them to not
only give you a vaginal ultrasound but
also a blood test? If they already know
if you are pregnant and it is not an
ectopic pregnacy why do they need to know
about your blood cell and all that if they
already know the important stuff? And if
you could just explain how the medical
procedure is done that would also help.

Abortion...

Is a major surgery, and they need all the
info on you that they can get. To do
research on the baby...They don't just
throw them out or give them a burial, they
work on them. Please do not have an
abortion if you are preg, every baby
deserves a chance.

My Story

Well, once I tell you about it you will
probably not want to hear about "my" story
but me and the father are together and we
decided to have a termination but it was
just hard to do because I knew there was
something going wrong...I was bleeding
very heavy after I went to the doctors and
they did tests and told me I was pregnant.
I was told when I was around 5 years old
that I would never be able to carry a
child because I had internal bleeding when
I was 5yrs and they had to do whatever
possible and they said that they had
damaged alot of vital things...My parents
told me that doctors are always wrong and
that it was possible to get pregnant and I
didn't really believe them because I have
only been sexually active with one guy (my
boyfriend) and had unprotected sex for
4yrs and then this happened and I know
that they was something wrong because of
the heavy bleeding and I know it it normal
to spot when pregnant but this was
defiantly not spotting...So anyways
decisions later here I am and I had gotten
an abortion earlier this week and I am not
feeling alright about it...It just makes
me sick to think about the whole thing,
and I really miss being pregnant and now I
feel extremely guilty.

Well, I can understand you feeling
horrible and guilty about it, but then
aagin, maybe you should be. Your body and
the bleeding that was happening was nature
taking it's course...Whatever it was
leading to. But taking matters into your
own hands is another story altogether.
I'm sorry, I just have a really hard time
finding compassion for people that are
able to kill an innocent life and then
need sympathy and help from someone
else....Where were you when your baby
needed help?

I totally agree with u.These people want
sympathy & yet,do they deserve it? No
matter how hard it seems, the poor baby is
always the one who takes the punishment 4
its parents mistakes. Its so sad a life
has 2 end like this when it's hardly even
begun

You are upset about this. You will be
fine. And your baby will come when you
are ready. Just do us all a favor and
use protection and do as much as you can
to make sure you don't get pregnant until
you are ready. Abortion is not a form of
birth control.

Thank you jennifer for the constructive
post, but some may see it as sympathy but
sympathy can only occur when the one who
receives it asks for it...Well you dont
see me asking for anything so please dont
post if you have know idea what you are
talking about...But if you think you know
people through a few paragraphs off a
web-site then you must be an fool. Oh
and by the way an ectopic pregnancy is
"not" nature running its coarse and thats
what they found in this pregnacy and the
abortion that I had was not only for me
not being able to have children in the
future. But oh well your right im a bad
person for knowing my body and knowing
that something was wrong and your a bad
person for replying to something you had
nothing to say to but bad comments. But
if you think that people like me deserve
pain well im in pain now more than ever.

They need to know your medical history and
your blood type because with abortion
there is a chance that you can lose to
much blood...

sadder still is the fact that there are
pious, know it all, short sighted
individuals such as yourselves out there
that think that their right to pass
judgement over someone for their choices
is more important than that person's right
to choose what is right for them.

Stop!

You are mixing your beliefs with medicine
and it's not right. I am pro choice.
A baby is not a baby until you've given
birth to it. Can a fetus drink from a
bottle? Can a fetus cross the street?
Can a fetus do their chores? Did
think so. Stop confusing your logic
with science. As for sympathy, I think
we all have choices. Sounds like this
girl made the right one for herself.
For me, i've chosen not to listen to a
person who posts a "sex in the city"
picture next to her name and then judges
others for their choices. If you are
an avid "sex in the city" viewer you will
remember that three of the women decided
to have an abortion... Seems like you
are still tooning in. Why don't you write
sarah jessica parker about her character
choices while your at it.
Best,
jesse

Your "facts" about abortion are also
fictional.
You have a right to your opinoion, but
this is a health forum, not an opinion
colum.

impose your opinions either.

May debate is based on science. Science
is not an opinion. I'm simply asking
people to call it a fetus and not a baby.
