If You Have Had a Miscarriage, Please Answer?
Posted: 10-17-05 07:27am

If you have had a miscarriage before, please, I think I may have had one, and would be very appreciative if you would read this, and tell me if it seems reasonable that that is what has happened to me. I know, it is sort of long... Sorry. Any serious answers will be much appreciated.

Okay, I am 19 years old (just letting you know)

i had been having sex with my boyfriend a few days before going in to get birth control. Bad idea, really, I know. I went in, they gave me a pregnancy test, and said I wasn't pregnant. Ttey gave me the birth control. Problem 1: I don't think that the urine birth control tests they do will detect pregnancy as soon as one or two or three days, and that was when we were having sex. I have been on the shot before, and the last time I started on it, I had my first period normally, and about two more irregular ones (not as long, as frequent or as heavy.) the last one was just a little spotting.

I had been off of the shot for about 3-5 months. This time, I got the shot, and I had no period after. I was expecting one later that week or the next. This was around august 15th or so.

Since that time, I had been feeling a little nauseous in the morning. Not very severe, just a little. Also, I had been feeling a little woozy during car rides as well. Now, months later, I all of a sudden get a period. It started about a week and a half or so, to two weeks ago. It's been bleeding about as heavy as a regular period.

About 4 days or so ago, I that after removing my tampon, when I wiped, there were some clots (i have had this happen on a small scale before, so I wasn't worried at the time)

now here comes the real question... Two days ago I went to change my tampon. When I wiped, there was something I had never seen before... It was sort of greyish/pinkish not the same color all over... About as big a round as the hole formed when you touch your index finger and thumb. I wiped again, and another thing the same color came out, this one was about as big around as a quarter...

(sorry if I am being too graphic, or gross...)

i am just very curious if anyone else has had this happen before. I think that I may have been pregnant, and I miscarried. I didn't see anything that looked remarkably like a fetus or anything, I figure it could have been the placenta or some other tissue of the sort...

Please, if anyone has had a miscarriage, could you tell me if this sort of thing happened to you?

I dont remember anything of this sort. I do recall the tissue and lining etc.. The best thing that you can do is have your doc. Do a blood test to see if your hcg quanitive level has changed at all... I hope all is well and that you are feeling better

fisrt thing, you do know that once a pregnancy is confirmed that using tampons are a no no right? If you didn't , now you know.
Second thing, I had three miscarriages, of course I had to give birth with the last one, which was on monday the 17th. Anyway, sometimes early in a pregnancy if you miscarry it comes out looking like a silver dollar, kinda round, something like that. After that, you shud start to pass tissue, heavy bleeding and cramping.
However, sometimes you cud also have had an imcomplete abortion and you shud be checked my a doctor to make sure that sll the tissue was passed from you body so that it doesn't cause an infection.
I do hope that by now you wud have sought your doctor's advice.
Good luck and keep us informed

Thank you for the advice, you two. I went to the doc, and everything was fine... Apparently the shot just messed up my system a little... :d thanks for the replies. :p
