Q: When Is Too Late?

I just recently got on the pill and my set time is 9 pm, and last night I took it at 9:12...The nurse kept preaching about take it exactly the same time everyday...Now is there a chance I can get pregnant even if I was 12 m inutes late?

Don't Worry.
Probably not. It takes longer than 12 minutes for it to get out of your system. They say that because they're worried about the people who will take it once in the morning and then the next day take it at night, if they keep varying like that, they won't keep a steady about of hormones in their body. If your hormones are all over the place, then the pill is less likely to work.

I have noticed the b/c lately is very sensitive. 12 minutes is nothing, but as little as a few hours may make a difference. I was late taking mine by about 5 hours the other day and now i'm spotting. But, i'm not concerned about pregnancy. It should tell you in the pamphlet that comes with your b/c about taking pills late, missing pills, and when you're in the safe zone and not.

i do that sometimes too, take it a few hours late, cause I forget all the time. There' this patch commercial wher eit shows different women going "oops" or stopping mid walking or something and whenever I see that commercial I say"crap!!" and run to take it-lolol
