Yeek! I've got all 3 doc says I should be
fine, the placenta should move
upwards......Good thing I am not on
bedrest, that would make me nuts! No risk
of miscarriage (whew!). Ligament pain in
right side. Hurt comes and goes,
sometimes when sitting, and sleeping.
If you've had this how long does it
continue????? Oh, yeah and i'm b- bllod
type, hubby is o+ so rhogam it is. I am
not thrilled about getting the shot. My
grandma had one child (my mom, and at 30
yrs old in the late 1940's!!) she also had
a few stillbirths related to "blue baby
syndrome" which we all know as rh neg
stuff now. I'm new to the bboard, this
one seems nice, with lots of good advice.
I've only gained 3lbs......Friends say
i'll gain more! I'm super glad to be
through the first trimester, I was
bushwhacked during those months! Husband
still doesn't "get it" that I can't do a
full day of work, chores, and go out for
dinner and a movie my energy doesn't
permit. Oh well, bigger changes are
coming for sure :)

I have placenta previa but it first
diagnosed as low laying placent. 80% of
woman start their pregnancy with low
laying placenta but it moves up usually
before 25-32 wks. In my case they
watching me really closely I have
pregnancy induced hypertension and
placenta previa and yes it sucks but im on
bedrest. I wouldnt worry to much it
should move same as me I still have a
chance but if they diagnose you they will
be watching you very closely/ultrasounds
every 3-4 weeks. As for rh stuff my aunt
can never have kids and im positive got
monkeys blood usually asian and middle
eastern have same blood..............Get
the shot incase you want another kid cause
you will able to have this on fine but
next one could have difficulties.

Sorry to hear that
i am rh negative as well, and trust me
it's nothing. The shot is not painful, I
mean they will be taking so much blood
from you during this pregnancy that u will
not even be bothered by another poke or
twinge. I got my rhogam at 27 1/2 weeks,
and really, it's nothing to worry about at
all!!! By the way im 36 weeks and 5 days
today- almost there!! Well good luck and
best wishes!

Ligament pain is normal, it's actually
starting back up again right about now.
I'm rh negative as well, it's nothing to
worry about. At 16 weeks I still had only
lost weight and hadn't gained. I am
actually more tired now in the second
trimester than I was in the first. You're
getting more done than i, hopefully your
husband will understand soon. Luckily, my
husband gets just as tired with me. If
your doctors say you'll be fine, try to
trust them, you don't need to be worrying
about it.

I was also worried about not gaining
enough weight because I was low-weight to
begin with. But don't worry, you will
gain. I have so far gained 21 pounds and
I am 29 weeks. I've gained most of it in
the last 8 weeks too. Just as long as
you're eating right you'll be fine. Soon,
you're appetite will start to increase
alot if it hasn't already.

Most of you are lucky
I lost 12 lbs during the pregnancy im 25
wks and have gained a mere 2 lbs although
I have a funky belly that doesnt show in
the morning and does at night. With my
daughter I gained about 45 lbs because I
started craving gummie bears and chocolate
almonds all the time.

:d thanks for all the input! I'm more
cautious as to gaining weight since I
already am a little overweight. The
pregnancy I fear will push me into the low
200 pound range! I'm determined to not
gain 65 punds like one of my friends. My
doctor was definate saying the placenta
was not placenta previa. I was so glad
for that!! I'm hoping it moves upward, I
had some strage sensations yesterday, as
well as today. Sort of like when you're
on an airplane, and your tummy gets that
negative "g" gravity thing going.
Either that or the baby was practicing
some karate.
Once I ate a whole package of red
licorice. Baaaad idea, binges don't sit
well with me. My husband is weary, but
he's making jokes about not having sex
(hey, about 27 days left!!). Like he'll
not need a costume for halloween, since he
has such "furry palms" already. He's such
a sweetie, brought me hot chocolate and
some fresh biscotti this morning. Have
had some lentil soup, and will have blt's
on whole grain bread tonight. I'm
drinking alot more fluids today since I
was dehydrated for some reason yesterday.
I had a blood draw (for the afp test)
yesterday, and the residdent vampire
practically had to "milk" my arm!
Other stuff......My mother-in-law is
coming to visit next wendsday (eeek!). My
clothes dryer died, and my new range oven
knob busted off when we brought it into
the house. The good news is, the new knob
and dryer will be here monday. Just two
days, I think I can handle that.
Anyway...I am getting stuff done. Done,
but slow. Good thing I am an artist, and
self employed.
